A dedicated and passionate adventurer, Lizzy spent more than two decades climbing 2000- to 4500-foot big walls from Pakistan to Canada to Greenland and throughout the United States. She’s best known for her for her first free ascent with Heidi Wirtz of “Bad Hair Day” (5.12-) on the South Howser Minaret, Bugaboos, Canada and her third ascent of “Inshallah,” a route up the 4400-foot Shipton Spire (19,700’) in the Karakoram Range of Pakistan. She focuses now on bikepacking, mountain biking, and packrafting.
Lizzy has worked in the outdoor industry for 20+ years primarily in communications as a marketing manager for various companies and/or an editor and writer. She’s published hundreds of articles in climbing, mountain biking, yoga and other outdoor publications. She is also passionate about giving back, and currently serves as the vice president for the nonprofit, Mancos Valley Resources, a fiscal agent for 18 smaller projects that support and enhance the local community, and on the Bikepacking Roots Board, an organization representing bikepackers.
