Yoga & Meditation Retreat for Outdoor Adventurers
September 2-6 | Lodging, Meals, Shuttle from Mancos Included | $1250
Curious about meditation and how to still your mind, be less reactionary and more thoughtful, and find some peace in a crazy, social-media crazed, electronic world? How about your potential ability to find flexibility and strength, but also calm through a yoga practice? During this 5-day retreat, you'll learn meditation practices to be calmer in general (don't worry, we don't expect you to "clear" your mind, only to relax), dharma teachings designed specifically for outdoorswomen and men, and vigorous yoga that addresses both the spiritual and physical realms. You'll also have plenty of free time to hike on the almost 2 miles of often-steep trails on the 35-acre Scullbinder Ranch property. Instructors are Boulder-based professional rock climber and yogini Heidi Wirtz (yoga) and certified meditation instructor Tom Weiser (dharma & meditation instruction). We designed this course specifically for outdoor adventurers, guides, and NOLS and Outward Bound instructors. This retreat will be limited to no more than 14 people. We will be offering partial and full scholarships. Email us for details. Camping and glamping tents will be available.
A professional rock climber and trained yogi, Heidi Wirtz has a deep connection with nature. And she loves sharing her passions and inspiring others to follow their dreams. She applies her knowledge of yoga and connection to nature to create classes that are uplifting, energetic and focused on aligning the body for maximum fluidity in all of life.
Heidi has studied yoga for 20+ years, and has completed two teacher-training courses (with David Swenson and Jeanie Manchester).
