
3-Day Learn to Bikeraft on McPhee Reservoir
Course
Learn packrafting and bikepacking skills and then how to put the two together for a successful bikerafting adventure on McPhee Reservoir and in the San Juan National Forest. Our goal is to teach you the skills you need to embark on bigger, better cycling and packrafting adventures. You’ll learn how to lash your bike to your boat, pack your boat on your bike and more. Spend three days riding 30 to 40 miles of dirt roads and single track and boating seven miles. This tour can be modified with more or less mileage depending on the needs of the guests. Packrafts and packrafting gear included, along with all backcountry food. Trip starts Saturday, July 16th, in Dolores, where you’ll meet in town. This trip crosses includes high desert plains with great views of the La Plata Mountains, a beautiful camp spot in the National Forest and a night at a stunning camp on McPhee Reservoir.
