What we offer: We will take care of 100% of your logistics, from the time you arrive to the airport in Durango or Cortez or drive to Mancos. All you have to do is get here. And when you do, this is what we provide:

  • Shuttle rides to and from the airports in Cortez and Durango and down to the Ranch and all start points for the adventures.
  • All meals and beverages.
  • Lodging in the Main House, Scullbinder Cabin or one of the numerous glamping tents on the property.
  • One- to multi-day, bike and packraft adventures on the rivers and lakes and in the mountains and deserts of the Four Corners Region. Start on a day trip learning to packraft, and follow that up with a three-day bike, packraft or bikeraft adventure in the backcountry.
  • A slide show presentation, short film/videos and/or Q&As with your guides, some of whom are among the most renown bikeraft adventurers in the world. First timers will experience a show by Steve “Doom” Fassbinder. Repeat guests will get the opportunity to explore the world with some of our other local hard men and women.

corporate retreats with four corners guides
The GAIA Group Corporate Retreat day 1 on, learning to packraft on the Animas River.

What you’ll get out of it: Our tours provide your small to medium-sized group the opportunity to grow as a team as you learn and hone backcountry skills together. Expand your existing backcountry skill set, glean more knowledge to do bigger and better missions and utilize the outdoor gear or technology developed by your company in a remote, wild environment.

Where you’ll be: Scullbinder Ranch has a Main House, cozy rustic cabin and various glamping tents, providing comfortable beds and bedding for up to 14 people. Bigger groups will have to have pitch tents, which we can provide if needed. We have a full kitchen in the Main House, an outhouse, outdoor washing station, one and a half baths (two will be finished by spring 2022), and comfortable community indoor and outdoor community spaces to hang out in, dine and/or watch presentations from our professional adventurer guides.

Other stuff: As part of your retreat, we offer slide show/video presentations and Q&As with our various accomplished guides, including renown photographer and multi-sport adventurer, Steve “Doom” Fassbinder.

Please note: We can only take up to 16 people bikerafting or packrafting (with two people in two-person boats). We can take bigger groups of up to 24 people on bike tours into the Ute Mountain Ute Tribal Park only. Or we can split large groups into two separate, smaller tours.
